Large manufacturer's transition to MAS8
As a leader in the paper and packaging industry, Hood Container has 32 locations across the US, with mill facilities in Tennessee and Louisiana. Their operations require the support of a modern and functionally rich system that can scale with their growing operations. When company leadership decided to update their EAM system, Maximo Application Suite was the obvious choice.
Challenging delays, successful implementation!
Aquitas and IBM teams began working with Hood Container prior to the pandemic. Shutdowns, supply chain issues, and rising cost concerns caused multiple delays in the implementation and onboarding process. The dedicated project staff from Aquitas, Hood Container, and IBM continued to make steady progress. The first phase of this project took place at the company’s paper mill in New Johnsonville, Tennessee, and was completed in late February 2023. The second phase will start in Q2 of 2023 at Hood Container’s paper mill in Saint Francisville, Louisiana.
Implementing Maximo Application Suite around the timeline of the pandemic posed unique challenges. The team’s ongoing commitment to the project ultimately delivered a successful implementation and go-live. Aquitas is proud to have helped Hood Container and looks forward to the next phase!
